ERIE, Pa. — A 10-run inning carried the Penn State Behrend baseball team past Monmouth during spring break play. Isaac Stouffer, a senior from Punxsutawney, had three hits in five at-bats, including a home run, a triple and two RBIs.

Behrend’s softball, tennis, track and field and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:

Derrick Shields, a senior from Waterford, pitched the entire first game of a double-header against Kenyon, striking out nine batters. Ryan Meneskie, a senior from Moon Township, had five hits in six at-bats against Northwestern.

Sierra Williams, a sophomore from Grove City, hit home runs against Carnegie Mellon and Nebraska Wesleyan. Alix Lytle, a freshman from Warren, hit one against Dominican. Cami McNany, a senior from Emlenton, had three hits in four at-bats against Muskingum. She hit a home run and had three RBIs.

Men’s track and field

Samuel Hetrick, a junior from New Bethlehem, placed second in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. He cleared a height of 1.98 meters — the same height as the winner — but needed two tries to do so.

Men’s tennis

Penn State Behrend 5, Brevard 4

Penn State Behrend 8, Johnson & Wales 1

Gordon 8, Penn State Behrend 1

Mitchell May, a senior from Erie, and Evan Dean, a sophomore from New Castle, won a tiebreaker set at No. 2 doubles against Brevard. They finished with scores of 8-7 (7-5).

Women’s tennis

Brevard 7, Penn State Behrend 2

Erica Jasinski, a senior from Fairview, and Jana Kamel, a freshman from Erie, won at No. 1 doubles, finishing with an 8-2 score. Kamel also won at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Women’s water polo

Occidental 13, Penn State Behrend 8

Cal Tech 17, Penn State Behrend 11

Olivia Wright, a junior from Fairview, scored three goals against Cal Tech. Kieffer Beckman, a freshman from Wildwood, Missouri, made five saves against Occidental.
