ERIE, Pa. — Lucas Boyd, a sophomore from North East, placed third in a field of 32 runners at the Behrend Twilight Invite. He completed the 8K race in 27:53.1.

Men’s soccer

Penn State Behrend 1, Chatham 1

Grove City 1, Penn State Behrend 0

Goalkeeper Anthony Scalise, a freshman from North Huntingdon, made eight saves against Grove City, including back-to-back diving saves in the 19th minute. Owen Petersen, a sophomore from Erie, scored against Chatham.

Women’s soccer

Houghton 2, Penn State Behrend 1

Penn State Behrend 3, Allegheny 0

Rachel Sickeri, a sophomore from DuBois, scored two goals against Allegheny. She also scored against Houghton.

Men’s cross-country

Third (of four teams) at the Behrend Twilight Invite

Bennett Kerr, a senior from Murrysville, placed sixth, finishing in 28:16.5.

Women’s cross-country

Fourth (of four teams) at the Behrend Twilight Invite

Lindsey Hartle, a junior from Pittsburgh, paced the Lions at the Twilight Invite, finishing the 6K race in 26:20.4. She placed ninth in a field of 29 runners.

Allegheny 7, Penn State Behrend 0

Penn State Behrend 5, Westminster 0

Jonathon Laier, a senior from Lansing, Michigan, won at No. 1 singles against Westminster with scores of 6-1, 6-0. Owen Sinnott, a sophomore from Erie, won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2.

Women’s tennis

Penn State Behrend 5, Penn State Altoona 2

Allegheny 7, Penn State Behrend 0

Tamanna Sharma, a junior from Brampton, Canada, won at No. 1 singles against Penn State Altoona, finishing with scores of 6-2, 6-3. She and Enisa Silkjovic, a freshman from Erie, won at No. 1 doubles, 6-2.

Women’s volleyball

Bluffton 3, Penn State Behrend 1

Wilmington (Ohio) 3, Penn State Behrend 0

Denison 3, Penn State Behrend 0

Alani Salas-Garcia, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Florida, had a season-best 17 digs and 11 kills against Bluffton. Sailor Ladd, a freshman from Trumansburg, New York, added 18 assists.
