Behrend basketball team scores more than 100 points against Mt. Aloysius

The Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team scored more than 100 points against Mt. Aloysius, finishing 107-66.

The Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team scored more than 100 points against Mt. Aloysius, finishing 107-66. All five starters scored double-digit points.

The Lions are 3-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play.

The men’s basketball team also was in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:

Men’s basketball

  • Penn State Behrend 72, Mt. Aloysius 65
  • St. John Fisher 58, Penn State Behrend 56
  • Penn State Behrend 74, Canton 63

Tommy DiRienzo, a senior from Pittsburgh, scored 25 points against Mt. Aloysius. He also grabbed eight rebounds. Matthew McDonough, a junior from Pittsburgh, scored 17 points against Canton.

Women’s basketball

  • Penn State Behrend 107, Mt. Aloysius 66
  • Washington & Jefferson 70, Penn State Behrend 62

Rachel Majewski, a senior from Erie, led the Lions against Washington & Jefferson, scoring 22 points. Alaina Fabin, a freshman from Indiana, scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Mt. Aloysius.
