Mobile ID Access
Interested in having your PSU ID on something you carry around a lot? Behrend is 1 of 5 campuses selected to become a "Tap" only pilot campus. Have access to buildings and make purchases from your device using the eAccounts App that will give you a virtual PSU card. Whether it be a cell phone or smart watch, one tap and you will well on your way without pulling out a physical ID card. More exciting features will be announced soon for the new virtual ID card. Microsoft Hello
Want to speed up the way you're logging in? Windows Hello is now available for Faculty/ Staff offices. Instead of typing in a password, you will be able to log in using your face or fingerprint on your PC. All it will take is to have the right biometric camera. Teams Phone
Want a simpler way to make phone calls without a phone taking up space on your desk? Penn State is proud to announce that we are moving from Cisco Jabber to Microphone Teams Phone to create a more efficient way for making and taking phone calls. Calls can be made just by using your existing Microsoft Account. For more information about this project, go to Telephony Transformation. Go Wireless with IoT
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our pilot of Internet of Things (IoT) network on campus! This innovation is being designed for research projects and devices that do not support traditional logins. With this pilot our campus will support seamless connectivity for the ever-growing devices needing internet connectivity. This pilot will enable researchers to explore new opportunities. The IoT network promises to simplify how we conduct research, enhancing collaboration and opening doors to other possibilities.
