Access to a computer or the internet:
Although the move to remote learning is intended to eliminate large gatherings of individuals, such as face-to-face interactions in classrooms and labs, the college will remain open during the remote learning period.
If you do not have access to a computer and/or the internet from home, the campus computer labs and resources are still available. Student card swipe privileges will remain active and 24/7 facilities will continue to offer access.
If you live outside of Erie and coming to campus would present problems, our IT Services office can help address your situation. Contact us at 814-217-HELP (4357).
All students, whether on campus or not, can continue to access the software they need by visiting WebLabs. For full details and directions, please visit Behrend Cloud.
Behrend Information Technology Services (BITS), located in The General Electric Foundation Computer Center, is a full-service provider of technology resources, offering a wide array of support for all members of the campus community.
BITS offers support and services for all public computer labs, walk-up kiosks, and help desks. We also provide high-speed networks, black and white laser printing, local and cloud-based storage, and 100+ instructional software titles.
Additionally, lab resources may be accessed remotely 24/7/365. In addition to the public labs, there are numerous private lab environments which feature restricted access to curriculum-based resources. Plus, all of the college's classrooms and labs include integrated computing, projection and sound systems.
Help desks are conveniently located at several different locations on campus. In addition to providing general assistance, the consultants can assist with personal device support.
