This page identifies the individuals and offices authorized to send messages to the Employee Listserv at Penn State Behrend. Messages sent through this channel are limited to key announcements and updates relevant to the full faculty and staff community. If you have a message that fits this criteria, please contact your unit’s designated sender or delegate.
Note: Delegates send messages on behalf of others and do not edit or revise content. Please ensure your subject line and message are final. See the guidance below for best practices.
📌 Five Points to Keep in Mind
- Keep your emails as brief as possible—the shorter the message, the more likely it is to be read.
- Confirm that your message is relevant to all employees (e.g., emails about students missing class should go to the faculty listserv).
- Plan to send no more than two emails about a given subject or event—an initial email and one follow-up announcement.
- If your message is being sent through a delegate, please provide a subject line. Note that messages will be sent as is. Delegates will not edit or proofread.
- If your email includes images or graphics, do not rely on them alone to convey key information. Include Alt Text for accessibility.
