Guests are invited to gain a closer look at the theory of evolution when Penn State Behrend celebrates Darwin Day with an evening of activities on Feb. 12. Held annually on the birthday of Charles Darwin, the day pays tribute to his legacy and scientific findings.
Science Story Time, an outreach effort of the School of Science at Penn State Behrend, offers story reading, interactive activities, and “out-of-this-world” fun for area preschool-aged children.
Science Story Time will be held September 13, October 4, November 8, and December 6 at Penn State Behrend.
Charlotte de Vries, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Penn State Behrend, spent the summer of 2017 at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., as part of a NASA Fellowship where she worked with ECLSS engineers. She will discuss her experience on Thursday, Jan. 31, when Open House Night in Astronomy returns to Penn State Behrend.
