Seven business leaders will serve as executives in residence at Penn State Behrend's Black School of Business during the 2022-23 academic year. They will lead workshops, sponsor class projects, judge business competitions and provide career advising and mentoring opportunities.
More than 60 vision-impaired junior athletes visited Penn State Behrend for the Envision Blind Sports summer camp. They played hockey, lacrosse and goalball, a game invented in 1946.
Penn State Behrend's Math Options Career Day brought nearly 180 middle-school students to the college on May 10. A series of hands-on workshops throughout the program exposed students to how math is used in various career fields.
Penn State Behrend awarded 660 degrees at the college's spring commencement ceremony, held May 6 at Erie Insurance Arena. "Commencement is the most anticipated event of the academic year -- one the entire Behrend community looks forward to as much as graduates and families do," Chancellor Ralph Ford said.
