Penn State has updated its public COVID-19 dashboard with the University's on-demand testing and random testing results from tests administered during the period of Sept. 18 to 20, as well as new University testing results from the prior week. These numbers are evolving as many test results are still pending, which will then be validated and uploaded.
Penn State Behrend has completed a seven-year, $690,000 trail improvement project in Wintergreen Gorge, a Natural Heritage Area on and adjacent to the Behrend campus. The project will improve public access to the gorge, which is ADA accessible for the first time.

Among students tested at the University Park campus whose test results have been received, Penn State received 306 positive results from its on-demand testing and 14 positive results from its random testing program.

A new partnership between Penn State and the Peace Corps will include a preparatory program for students who are interested in volunteering. “The Peace Corps is a great opportunity to learn about another culture, to develop one’s talents, and to be of service to people in a developing nation,” said Jonathan Hall, an associate teaching professor of physics at Penn State Behrend.
New rankings by U.S. News & World Report place the engineering programs at Penn State Behrend among the top 50 undergraduate engineering programs in the nation. Behrend is at No. 46 on the list, which was released Sept. 14.
