Fun science fact: Monsters are afraid of bubbles.

That's a lesson Tracy Halmi, associate teaching professor of chemistry, taught local preschoolers at "Science Story Time," an outreach program of the Penn State Behrend School of Science. She used bubbles to illustrate to young scientists all of the different states of matter. Through fun and interactive experiments, she hopes to jump-start the minds of these preschoolers.

The 'Colorwalk' at Penn State Behrend is an outdoor sculpture with more than 8,000 pink plastic discs, which are spaced through a tree line near the Reed Union Building. The project is part of Penn State's Campus Arts Initiative.
