Center for Learning Excellence

The Center for Learning Excellence helps Penn State Behrend students develop their potential and expand their opportunities. Whether students want to improve their GPA, study abroad, apply for fellowships and scholarships, or plan for graduate school, the center has the tools and experience to help. The center also assists faculty by providing academic support services.

Peer Tutoring

Peer tutoring is offered in almost every subject. Students can make an appointment, drop in at one of our locations, or attend an exam prep session.

Education Abroad

Experience other cultures while earning Penn State credits toward your degree. Students can go abroad as part of a course or for a semester or year. (You don’t even need to speak a second language—unless that's what you choose!) Scholarships are available, too. Attend an info session to find out more.

Scholarships, Fellowships, and Grants

A prestigious fellowship or scholarship, like a Fulbright or Rhodes, provides funding and fast-tracks your career. Graduate School Preparation

Grad school plans stressing you out? The Center for Learning Excellence can help with writing personal statements, working with recommenders, and GRE preparation. Attend an info session to learn more or make an appointment for individual guidance on your personal statement and other parts of your application.
