UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association will recognize 14 graduates on Oct. 3 with the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Alumni Association.
The Alumni Fellow program is administered by the Penn State Alumni Association in cooperation with the University's academic colleges, campuses and the Office of the President. Alumni are nominated by a college or campus as leaders in their professional fields and accept an invitation from the president of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty and administrators.
The 2018 Alumni Fellows are:
— Mark Becker, 1985 graduate of the Eberly College of Science
— Carl Berquist, 1974 graduate of the Smeal College of Business
— Robert A. Cutietta, 1982 graduate of the College of Arts and Architecture
— Louis C. Danielson, 1976 graduate of the College of Education
— Benjamin H. Feller, 1992 graduate of the Bellisario College of Communications
— Greg Forbes, 1972 graduate of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences
— Jana G. Goodrich, 1995 graduate of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College
— Dennis J. Jackman, 1976 graduate of the College of the Liberal Arts
— Paul D. Kempinski, 1982 graduate of the College of Health and Human Development
— Julie Harris McHugh, 1986 graduate of the Smeal College of Business
— John R. McWhirter, 1961 and 1962 graduate of the College of Engineering
— Robert B. Pippin, 1972 and 1974 graduate of the Graduate School
— Patricia W. Stevens, 1988, 1990, and 2001 graduate of the College of Engineering
— E. Philip Wenger, 1979 and 1987 graduate of Penn State Harrisburg

Each Alumni Fellow will receive a commemorative award, designed and hand-cast by 1972 Penn State graduate Jeanne Stevens-Sollman, an acclaimed sculptor and medalist, and a 2007 Alumni Fellow.
