New Faculty Adviser Training Series: Title/Description Date/Time/Location
Introduction to Advising and General Education
This session will review the advising structure and philosophy at Behrend and introduce the General Education requirement for students.

Introduction to LionPATH
This session focuses on LionPATH basics—how to utilize the interface, what information is available to advisers, how to read and interpret a degree audit, and more.

Introduction to Starfish
The University's Advising Policy (32-00) requires that all advisers document their interactions with students. This session will focus on Starfish basics, including how to set up appointments, document notes, and reach out to your students.

Advising Referrals
Students often go to their advisers because they trust them. But sometimes, a referral to a different office or support system is necessary. In this session, we'll look at the relational aspect of advising, review when a referral is needed, and cover some of the most common advising referral offices.
