Anisha Tiwari, majoring in chemistry and biology at Penn State Behrend; Emma Duffy, majoring in recreation, park, and tourism management in the College of Health and Human Development; and Valeria Miraballes, majoring in global and international studies in the College of the Liberal Arts, have been named recipients of the 2026 Ralph Dorn Hetzel Memorial Award.

Carter Tobin, a sophomore from Irwin, won the 60-meter sprint at the All-Atlantic Region Conference indoor track-and-field championships. He finished in 6.81 seconds, setting a school record for the second consecutive week.
Penn State Behrend’s STEAM Fair offered more than 100 learning stations, including a locomotive simulator, virtual-reality immersions and a TV green-screen. More than 1,400 people attended the event.
Penn State Behrend’s basketball teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships on Feb. 28. The men defeated Pitt-Greensburg, 66-61. The women beat Penn State Altoona, 78-61.
