It is a tradition at Penn State Behrend for a faculty member to address the new graduates. This year’s faculty speaker was Massimo Verzella, associate professor of English composition.
Using foundational course work and hands-on laboratory experiences, Penn State Behrend’s Electrical Engineering program teaches you to become a problem-solver who is well versed in the design, analysis, and operation of the various electrical systems that power our world.
Penn State Behrend awarded 230 undergraduate and graduate degrees at the college’s fall commencement ceremony. The Dec. 16 program, which was held in Junker Center, featured an address by Joseph W. Snyder, retired president and co-founder of Process and Data Automation.
The Polymer Engineering and Science program at Penn State Behrend prepares you to analyze and design polymers—the versatile materials that make up our world. You’ll learn to analyze the character and structure of materials, and then use that knowledge to design innovative new products.
At the conclusion of the University's six-year fundraising effort, “A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence,” Penn State Behrend had much to celebrate: The college had raised more than $75 million — an amount well above the original Behrend campaign goal of $52 million.
