The track and field teams at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, won the 2017 Colonial States Athletic Conference men’s and women’s titles. The college swept the awards for male and female track and field athletes of the year.
Penn State is moving toward a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2018-19 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) will begin collecting student health insurance information in May 2017.

The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Community Outreach, Research and Evaluation (CORE) at Penn State Behrend will host a Positive Youth Development (PYD) Summit Celebration on Friday, May 19.
Service and volunteering have always been a big part of the Helen Mendenhall’s life. Those interests helped her quickly find her niche when she enrolled at Penn State Behrend this past fall.

Mendenhall just completed her first year at Penn State Behrend, and the ASB trip helped reaffirm her commitment to service. "“I’m already thinking about the service work that I can do next year, and I’m so excited,” she said.
This spring Penn State awarded almost 14,000 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing associate, baccalaureate, master’s, law, doctoral and medical degrees, bringing the University’s number of graduates to an estimated total of more than 800,000. Many of the University's graduates received their degrees at campuses other than University Park.
