Penn State Behrend’s swimming and diving teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships in Rochester, New York, on Feb. 17. The women’s team also won the Allegheny-Empire Championship.
Five Behrend students will dance at THON, Penn State’s 46-hour dance marathon. “The feelings you get at THON are life-changing,” dancer Grace Warsitz said. “I don’t think I will ever see anything quite like it anywhere else.”
Penn State Behrend’s 4x400 relay team set a school record at the SPIRE Indoor Games in Geneva, Ohio, finishing in 3:23.85. The Lions placed fourth in a field of 20 teams.
A new series of on-campus and online events will offer prospective graduate students information about Penn State Behrend’s master’s degree programs, which include courses in Erie and at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township.
Three students at Penn State Behrend’s Black School of Business developed a digital customer loyalty program and a social media strategy for The Juice Jar, a small Erie café.

The Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team defeated Wells and Pitt-Bradford in recent Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchups. The team, which has built a 12-2 conference record, travels to Hilbert on Wednesday.
Penn State Behrend swimmers set 15 team records and one pool record in a dual meet at Nazareth on Jan. 27. The men’s team set 11 records. The women’s team posted five record times.
