Career Closet

Make a great first impression with employers!

Career Services manages a free Career Closet open to all Behrend students. You are welcome to borrow suits, shirts, shoes, ties, and padfolios for career fairs or interviews. Please return clothing on the original hanger provided. Return items to 125 Reed, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Atrium at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Woods

Procedures for Borrowing Items

  • Clothing must be requested at least 24 hours in advance of event or interview.
  • Clothing requested the day of the event may not be filled.
  • Students must use this Request Form to borrow items from the Career Closet.
  • Completion of the request form acknowledges that you are borrowing Career Closet items and accept responsibility for returning them in good condition by the specified deadline.
  • Do not submit a second request. If you need to make a change or exchange an item, please call or email [email protected].
  • Career Services staff will pull items needed and place them in a plastic bag.
  • Student will be notified by email that their order is ready for pick up in 125 Reed.

Procedures for Returning Items

  • Return items to 125 Reed, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Please return clothing on the original hanger provided.
  • Returned items will be sent for dry cleaning.
  • Items that cannot be dry cleaned (such as shoes) will be separated for at least 48 hours before next use.

Failure to Return Items

Borrowed items must be returned by the specified deadline. Failure to return borrowed clothing may result in referral to the University’s formal student conduct process. If a case is submitted, it may be processed as theft or failure to comply, depending on the circumstances. When a case is referred through the formal conduct process, a hold may be placed on the student’s account until the item is returned and Career Services confirms its return. An account hold may prevent students from registering for classes or completing other university transactions. Conduct referrals may also become part of a student’s conduct record.
