ERIE, Pa. — The men’s soccer team at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, won the Herb Lauffer Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 victory over SUNY Geneseo. The college’s golf, volleyball, tennis, cross country and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

Sean Sculley, a senior from Waterford, won the Pitt-Bradford Invitational with a low score of 74. Ryan Matlock, a senior from Erie, was fourth, with a 75.

Hannah Saunders, a senior from Elizabeth, was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Northwest PA Challenge Tournament. She had 105 assists, 27 digs, 24 kills, 11 blocks and three aces.

Penn State Behrend 9, Washington & Jefferson 7
Grant Garcia, a junior from Kingsburg, California, scored five goals against Washington & Jefferson. The Lions never trailed in that game.
Men’s cross country
Second (of 10 teams) at the Fisher Invitational at Westminster College
Dylan Buffington, a senior from Brookville, won the Fisher Invitational with a time of 25:28.28.
Women’s cross country
Third (of nine teams) at the Fisher Invitational at Westminster College
Savanna Carr, a freshman from Franklin, placed third with a time of 23:38.17.
