ERIE, Pa. — The men’s golf team at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, won the La Roche Fall Invitational at Wildwood Golf Club. Three players placed in the top 10.
The college’s soccer, volleyball, tennis and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights:
Men’s soccer
Penn State Behrend 3, Pitt-Greensburg 0
Penn State Behrend 3, Geneva 1
Grove City 3, Penn State Behrend 2
The Lions converted on three corner kicks to defeat Pitt-Greensburg in the conference opener. Andrew Mastovich, a sophomore from Murrysville, scored first.
Women’s soccer
Penn State Behrend 3, Pitt-Greensburg 0
Grove City 2, Penn State Behrend 1
The Lions scored three goals in nine minutes to defeat Pitt-Greensburg. Olivia Belack, a senior from Upper St. Clair, scored twice.
Men’s golf
First (of 11 teams) at the La Roche Fall Invitational
The Lions had three golfers in the top 10 at La Roche. Ryan Matlock, a senior from Erie, shot a 73 to tie for second overall.

Penn State Behrend 3, Lyndon State 0
Baldwin Wallace 3, Penn State Behrend 1
Hannah Saunders, a senior from Elizabeth, had a team-high 31 assists and 14 digs in the loss to Baldwin Wallace.

Men’s water polo
McKendree 17, Penn State Behrend 15
Penn State Behrend 15, Monmouth 6
Six different players scored a pair of goals in the win over Monmouth. Goalkeeper Matt Olimski, a freshman from San Diego, had 16 saves.
