We understand the needs of commuter students—after all, more than 60 percent of our students live off campus or commute from home! Penn State Behrend offers a wealth of resources to help commuter students take advantage of all the college offers. That means we have programs specially designed for commuters, staff here to support you, and a commuter lounge where you can relax, recharge, study, and socialize between classes. In addition, commuter students may find the Commuter FAQ page and other resources helpful.
Student Involvement
Student Leadership and Involvement and the Student Government Association provide students with a variety of involvement options. With more than 140 student organizations, there is something for everyone.
Smith Chapel Living Room/Commuter Lounge
The Living Room at the Smith Chapel is where students can relax, study, and socialize between classes. With a microwave, refrigerator, television, and phone/laptop charging stations, the Living Room has everything you need to feel right at home.
