The annual Trash to Treasure sale returns to Penn State Behrend on Saturday, May 11, providing students and community members an opportunity to recycle reusable items that they no longer need. The initiative, run through Penn State Behrend Athletics and the Office of Sustainability, aims to keep useful items out of the waste stream while raising money for United Way of Erie County.
The end-of-semester Trash to Treasure indoor yard sale at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will again benefit bargain-hunters, the environment and United Way of Erie County. The sale will be held in Erie Hall on Saturday, May 13.
At the close of its 2016 employee campaign, which raised $54,000 for United Way of Erie County, Penn State Behrend reached an important milestone: More than $1 million in total giving to United Way and its programs.
