Zoom is a web-based conferencing system used within the University. You can use Zoom to hold or attend webinars, meetings, and training. Faculty may also use Zoom for hybrid courses, office hours, or student team meetings.
Zoom offers features such as ease of use and set-up, login via PSU Web Single Sign-On (WebSSO) or a meeting ID, ability to schedule meetings in advance, and recording sessions. In addition, up to 500 people can participate in a the meeting.
Devices and Locations
You can use Zoom on your desktop, laptop, or mobile devices. To download the most current version, visit Zoom at Penn State.
In addition, Zoom is available in most classrooms to support remote teaching and learning. There are also a number of locations on campus which can be used as Zoom rooms.

BITS can provide assistance in several ways. These include suggestions for best practices, hosting a Zoom webinar or other large audience Zoom session, and assisting with pre-event testing.
Tech TAs
In addition, the University's Tech TAs are available to assist you during your Zoom session. They can assist with in-class support --- like helping with audio or video issues, moderating chat, managing polls, setting up and monitoring breakout rooms, and sharing whiteboards.
