Penn State Behrend started the tradition of leaving a legacy and improving the college in some way with the Class of 2002. At Penn State, almost every graduating class since 1861 has made a memorable gift to the University. Since 2002, graduating Behrend seniors have generously given to these lasting gifts:
- 2002: Flagpole and plaque memorializing two Behrend alumni who were victims of the 9/11 tragedy
- 2003 and 2004: Behrend Lion Shrine and Lion Plaza
- 2005: Benches outside of the Reed Union Building, Senat Hall, and Mary Behrend Monument
- 2006: Crabapple Trees at Behrend’s Entrance
- 2007 and 2008: Smith Chapel Meditation Garden and Seating
- 2009: Reed Lounge Renovations and Mary Behrend Monument Historical Marker
- 2010: Photography Collage Wall Mural in Bruno's Cafe
- 2011: Penn State Shield at Reed Union Building’s Outdoor Patio
- 2012: Mary Behrend Monument Bench
- 2013: Mary Behrend Monument Bench
- 2014: Herb Lauffer Soccer Complex Naming Project
- 2015: Behrend Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship Fund
- 2016: Beautification along pathway from Lilley Library to Bruno's Cafe
