Two students in the creative writing program at Penn State Behrend will read from their work at the April 25 “Sweet Sorrow” event, in the lobby of Metzgar Center. The readings, which begin at 6 p.m., are free and open to the public.

Penn State Behrend has been awarded $2.5 million in federal funding to develop a battery-testing facility in the college’s Knowledge Park, where a planned Center for Manufacturing Competitiveness will support the transition to battery-powered heavy-haul equipment in the rail, marine and mining industries.
The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship on April 21, defeating Penn State Altoona, 5-4. The win earned Behrend its third consecutive championship.
