The Young People’s Chorus of Erie, a youth outreach program of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will hold open auditions later this month.
Open rehearsals give young people between the ages of 7–18 the opportunity to attend a rehearsal and learn about YPC Erie. The chorus is northwest Pennsylvania’s only comprehensive youth choral music program and children from 35 different schools participate.
Auditions will be held at Penn State Behrend and First Church of the Covenant between Wednesday, Jan. 14, and Thursday, Jan. 22. Auditions at Penn State Behrend are for ages 13-18 while auditions at First Church of the Covenant are for ages 7-12.
The audition schedule is listed below:
- Jan. 14, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Smith Chapel, Penn State Behrend (Ages 13-18)
- Jan. 15, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., First Church of the Covenant, 250 W. Seventh St. (Ages 7-12)
- Jan. 21, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Smith Chapel, Penn State Behrend (Ages 13-18)
- Jan. 22, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., First Church of the Covenant, 250 W. Seventh St. (Ages 7-12)
