Penn State Behrend staffs a center to care for students' health issues in an atmosphere of confidentiality and respect. The Health Center (Carriage House) is located adjacent to the Reed Union Building and Senat Hall.
Our center offers medical care, treatment for most illnesses and minor injuries, and on-site laboratory testing and medications to evaluate and treat most illnesses. For questions about on-site treatment of temporary illness or management of other health issues, contact the Health Center at 814-898-6217. When the Health Center is closed, call 911 for emergency response on campus.

COVID Testing
On-Campus Option: The Health Center can test individuals with COVID-like symptoms on-site. If you are experiencing symptoms and need COVID testing, call 814-898-6217 to make an appointment before coming to the Center. You'll receive your test results at the time of your appointment. Please note that COVID testing done by the Center is not free; your insurance will be charged.
Parking
Parking is available according to Behrend parking regulations. There is also one handicapped parking place in front of the Health Center (Carriage House) and a convenient ground-level entrance with an automatic door opener and elevator.
Insurance
For your convenience, we accept insurance from most major health insurers. We request that you provide us with your insurance information prior to or at your first visit. Please check with your insurance company to verify coverage of services. You can also read more details about the insurance process.
Immunizations
Immunizations offer safe and effective protection from vaccine-preventable diseases. The United States is experiencing the re-emergence of these diseases, in part due to factors such as unimmunized and under-immunized persons and global travel. University Health Services of The Pennsylvania State University strongly supports the use of vaccines to protect the health of our individual students and our campus community.
