Computer Science and Software Engineering Faculty Positions

  • Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Software Engineering - Tenure Track Faculty Position (Job#76174) 
    The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position starting fall 2018 at the rank of assistant professor. We are seeking applications from candidates with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and research scholarship. A Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field is required. Candidates should have the ability to teach computer science courses including artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, machine learning and reinforcement learning, and courses in game design, development, and game AI. Candidates should be experienced in a variety of game engines, especially Unreal and Construct. At least three years college teaching experiences in game development and other computer science courses such as artificial intelligence are required. Candidates should have developed a program of research in the areas of machine learning and gaming AI applications. Plastics Engineering Technology Faculty Positions

  • Plastics Engineering Technology - Tenure-Track Faculty Position (Job#76560) 
    Penn State Behrend invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position starting fall 2018. Qualified candidates will be considered for appointment at the rank of associate professor. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate education and participating in industry sponsored applied research. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in plastics mold rheology, mold design, and plastic part design. Prospective candidates should have a background with the topics described and ideally have experience with or a background in the plastics industry. Experience with plastics process simulation, plastics processing (such as injection, extrusion, or blow molding) and thermal analysis techniques are also desirable.
