  • Mechanical Engineering Technology - One-Year Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position (Job# 79574)
    Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department beginning fall 2018. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Teaching assignments will be made in the areas of manufacturing, engineering mechanics, computer applications, and thermal sciences. This is a one-year, fixed-term position and the salary is competitive. Preferred qualifications include a master’s or Ph.D. degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or closely related engineering discipline, registration as a professional engineer, prior college-level teaching experience, and five or more of years industrial experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Plastics Engineering Technology Faculty Positions

  • Plastics Engineering Technology - One-Year Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position (Job#81820) 
    Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applicants for a one-year, fixed-term non-tenure track faculty position starting fall 2018 or spring 2019. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate education and participating in industry sponsored applied research. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in plastics mold rheology, mold design, and plastic part design. Prospective candidates should have a background with the topics described and ideally have experience with a background in the plastics industry. Experience with plastics process simulation, plastics processing (such as injection, extrusion, or blow molding) and thermal analysis techniques are also desirable. A Ph.D. in plastics, polymer, mechanical, materials, chemical engineering, or related field is required and a minimum of two years of industry experience is preferred.​ Please submit a complete resume, a brief statement of teaching philosophy and research interests, and the names of three references via the Penn State Jobs website.
