ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend’s softball team clinched the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regular-season championship with a two-game sweep of Franciscan. The team will host the AMCC championship tournament, which begins May 3.

The college’s baseball and tennis teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights:

Katie Gozzard, a senior from Pittsburgh, hit a solo home run in the first inning of the opener against Hilbert. She added a two-run homer in the third.

Mitchell May, a freshman from Erie, and Brett McFarland, a senior from Austinburg, Ohio, won at No. 1 doubles.
