To mark our 75th anniversary, we've held a number of celebratory events, including:
On October 30, 2023, Penn State Behrend faculty and staff assembled in Erie Hall to form a 75. View a larger size of the 75th Anniversary Photo.
- BehrendPalooza – featuring live music from local bands
- 75th Pep Rally – cheering on Behrend student-athletes
- Then & Now Cruise-In – with more than 125 classic cars on display
- Parents, Families, and Alumni Weekend – including a Pioneer alumni celebration; fireworks sponsored by Wm. T. Spaeder, Co.; a reception for our academic schools; Wintergreen Gorge hikes; Erie Hall tours; signings and discussion of the book, Glenhill Farm: The History of a Family Estate; a display of Mary Behrend's original art; and the traditional family-friendly activities.
- A Special Founder's Day Speaker – A talk by Jim Garrison, an expert on architect R. Brognard Okie, designer of Glenhill Farmhouse.
- Speaker Series—75th Anniversary Talks – by Jeremy O’Mard '13, Ainslie Brosig '01, Matthew White, and Dr. Jotham Austin II '96.
- Blue & White Night at the Erie Otters – Behrend students, alumni, faculty, and staff enjoyed a fun night of hockey while commemorating our 75th.
- 75th Celebration Event at Erie Hall – including food stations, interactive activities, a photo booth, and a commemorative gift for everyone who attended.
- Solar Eclipse: Monday, April 8 – Penn State Behrend was in the "path of totality" for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse and we were thrilled this once-in-a-lifetime experience coincided with our 75th Anniversary.

Anniversary-Priced Pavers
In celebration of Behrend's 75th Anniversary, Mary Behrend Monument pavers were discounted. Although the special pricing is over, you can still celebrate your legacy with a paver.
