In order to bring new and existing groups together in a pandemic world and fulfill the need of professionals to connect with one another, the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence recently awarded 19 grants through a new program called The Garden Project: Cultivating Communities of Practice.
Penn State has updated its public COVID-19 dashboard with the University's on-demand testing and random testing results from tests administered during the period of Nov. 6 to 8, as well as new University testing results from the prior week.
In preparation for the departure from campuses after in-person instruction ends on Nov. 20, Penn State has announced an aggressive fall departure plan offering all students COVID-19 testing, at no cost to students. Penn State is partnering with Vault Health for departure testing, which will be conducted either in person at predetermined testing sites on certain campuses or via self-administered test kits. Students can now book their appointment to receive an administered test or to pick up a self-test by using the Return Home Event on the Penn State Go App or by visiting virusinfo.psu.edu/departure-testing.
Penn State Behrend's fall theater production — a four-day run of "Really Really," by Paul Downs Colaizzo — will take a new form, due to the need for social distancing during the pandemic. The cast will interact on-camera, from individual rooms in Perry Hall.

Penn State released its preliminary coronavirus testing results for the period of Oct. 23 to 29 on its COVID-19 dashboard today (Oct. 30). The University Park campus received 110 positive on-demand test results and 17 positive random test results from student testing during the period of Oct. 23 to 29.
