William Friedlander’s career path was set in the second grade, when he rode the Phantom’s Revenge for the first time. After two internships and a capstone design project, the Penn State graduate is much closer to his goal: a job as a roller coaster field engineer.
Penn State has updated its public COVID-19 dashboard with the University's on-demand testing and random testing results from tests administered during the period of Oct. 16 to 18, as well as new University testing results from the prior week. As of Oct. 19 at University Park, there are 193 active student cases and 3,345 students have completed their isolation period and are no longer active cases.
Penn State released its preliminary coronavirus testing results for the period of Oct. 9 to 15 on its COVID-19 dashboard today (Oct. 16). The University Park campus received 129 positive on-demand test results and six positive random test results from student testing during the period of Oct. 9 to 15. As of Oct. 15 at University Park, there are 334 active student cases and 3,114 students have completed their isolation period and are no longer active cases.
The Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded $1.5 million to the Northwest Pennsylvania Innovation Beehive Network, which includes Penn State Behrend's Innovation Commons. The Beehive sites provide entrepreneurial support and business guidance to companies and inventors in 17 counties.
