Penn State Behrend Leads AMCC Standings

With the fall teams having completed their seasons, Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, leads the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference standings. The college has an 89.3 percent ranking – a full 5 percent higher than Franciscan University, which is in second place.

Penn State Behrend won conference titles in men’s golf, soccer and cross country, and in women’s soccer. Thirty-six student-athletes earned All-Conference honors.

Music at Noon: The Logan Series Receives Adventurous Programming Award

Music at Noon: The Logan Series, a chamber music and performing arts series at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been named a recipient of the 2015 Chamber Music America and American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers Award for Adventurous Programming.

The national award recognizes ensembles and presenters for outstanding and innovative approaches to the programming of contemporary, classical, jazz and world chamber music.

It’s not easy getting strangers in their bathing suits to feel comfortable enough to sit down and chat with you, but it was a task quickly mastered by four Black School of Business students enrolled in MGMT 432: Small Business Field Study who completed a semester-long market research project for Splash Lagoon, an indoor water park and resort in Erie.
