A Penn State Behrend teaching assistant who works with international students has been awarded the 2016 LaMarr Kopp International Achievement Award. The University-wide honor recognizes undergraduate students who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the international mission of Penn State.
A student investment team from Penn State Behrend’s Black School of Business reached the regional finals of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute’s Research Challenge in Chicago on April 13, topping teams from nearly 1,000 other schools.
The team was knocked out of the competition by the University of Waterloo, in Ontario.
Students, parents, philanthropists and members of the Penn State Behrend community convened upon the college’s Junker Center on Oct. 24 for a celebration of academic excellence and generosity.
Michael Linhart took his time getting to Erie Insurance Arena, where he received a bachelor’s degree in general arts and sciences. He crossed the stage in May, 24 years after he first enrolled at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, presented 91 different awards to students and student organizations at the 66th annual Honors and Awards Convocation on April 19.
Dr. Meaghan Johnson remembers college as a time for change and growth. It’s one of the reasons she says she enjoys working with people of that age group so much.
