Find Location of Software
A searchable, online database called Lab Software has been created which contains information for each software application that is installed in the public labs, classrooms, or other instructional areas.
Students can use this database to find where a software title is located so that they can complete their assignments. Faculty are encouraged to use this this database to ensure that a particular software title is available in a specific instructional area.
Faculty will have the option to complete the Software Request form to ensure that the needed software is installed in the locations where you are scheduled to teach for the upcoming semester.
Web browsers and office productivity software (Word, Excel, etc.) are available in all locations. Other specialty software titles must be specifically requested by faculty so that the software can be installed in the labs or instructional classrooms.
Slow Software Loading Times
If you experience slow software loading times in the CLM environment, we suggest that you perform a “Clear User Application” action from the Utilities folder (which is found on the application menu on any CLM computer). Once this app is launched, a window will appear that shows which applications may have saved user data. It is suggested that you clear the user data for those apps by placing a checkmark next to each application.
