Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to be on campus connected to Eduroam Wi-Fi to send jobs to the printers?
A: To send and release jobs, your device must either be connected to the on campus Eduroam Wi-Fi or be connected anywhere to the GlobalProtect VPN available through Penn State.
Q: How long will my print job stay in the system if I don’t release it?
A: Each job will stay in the system ready to release for 3 days until it is automatically removed. You can release the job at any time during that period by scanning the QR code at the printer or logging on to the release webpage.
Q: Is this system only for mobile devices?
A: No, all computer lab computers also use this system and are already set up with it. You should follow the same steps to send and release print jobs when using them for printing.
Q: How do I cancel a print job after I’ve already sent it?
A: On the release webpage for a printer, in addition to releasing a specific job, there is also an option to cancel the job. This will remove it from your list of jobs to release.
Q: Why does my print job not print when I send it on my device?
A: When you send a print job to either Black and White or Color, it gets put into a job list accessible by any printer on campus. In order to release the job and print it at your desired printer, you must scan the QR code at the printer or find the printer on the release webpage.
