Session Chair and Judges Guidelines
- Dates for online registration for Session Chairs and Judges will be announced.
- Session Chairs will be notified and receive abstracts for their session in advance.
Responsibilities of Session Chair for Oral Presentations
- Review abstracts assigned to a session related to your area(s) of expertise to determine their suitability for the session.
- Confirm judges to serve in your oral session; a list of potential judges will be provided to you.
- Create a schedule of presentations using provided template.
- Serve as the moderator during your session; may choose to serve as a judge or not for your session.
- Lead a discussion to select the top presentations to receive awards from your session; provide the results to the Organizing Team.
Responsibilities of Session Chair of Poster Presentations
- Review abstracts assigned to a session related to your area(s) of expertise to determine their suitability for the session.
- Confirm and assign judges to review posters with your session; a list of potential judges will be provided to you.
- You also will serve as a judge in your session on the day of the conference.
Responsibilities of Judge for Oral Presentations
- Observe and evaluate oral presentations within a particular session related to your area(s) of expertise.
- Provide student presenters with feedback on their presentations.
- Work with the Session Chair/Moderator to identify the top presentations in your session.
Responsibilities of Judge for Poster Presentations
- Observe and evaluate poster presentations within a particular session related to your area(s) of expertise.
- Evaluate student presenters using a provided rubric and provide student presenters with feedback on their poster presentation.
