In the digital world, language is central in almost everything we do—meaning the ability to use language to inform, instruct, or persuade is a valuable skill.
In the interdisciplinary Writing and Digital Media minor, you will learn how to write effectively for a variety of workplace and academic settings, making the minor a beneficial supplement to all bachelor's degree programs.
In the 18-credit minor, you'll use workshops, peer conferences, and portfolio-based seminars to become familiar with a broad array of writing projects, including business plans, grant applications, strategic plans, speeches, literary critiques, journal articles, legal briefs, annual reports, news releases, website content, and contracts.
You'll supplement that practice-based work with theory courses focusing on larger issues related to writing and analyzing texts, as well as on opportunities for graduate study.
