The Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team has received the 2012-13 Donna Ledwin Sportsmanship Award, which recognizes “the highest degree of sportsmanship, character and ethics among players, coaches and spectators.”
The team also won the award for the 2009-10 season.
Coach Roz Fornari values the award, which measures a skill that is not often reflected on the scoreboard.

Three teams from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, topped preseason polls for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. Competition begins Friday, when the men’s soccer team hosts Bethany at the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament.
The soccer team has the benefit of experience: Five seniors and three juniors will start for the squad, including senior Eric Hackworth, the AMCC Defender of the Year for 2012.

Students take the exam during their final year of study, after completing most of a program’s required courses. Many of the questions are based on case-study scenarios and require knowledge of marketing, management, finance and managerial accounting.
