Behrend track and field teams win CSAC championships

The Penn State Behrend men’s track and field team won its sixth consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference championship on May 8, finishing with 302 team points. The women’s team also won, claiming a fifth CSAC title — the team’s first since 2019.

Behrend nursing student finds purpose in intensive care unit

On his first shift in the intensive care unit at UPMC Hamot, Grant Oishi, a nursing student at Penn State Behrend, saw the worst of the work ahead: He helped care for a patient who no longer had brain activity, and whose organs would soon be removed by transplant teams. But it was the 10-week rotation in the intensive care unit that had the most meaning for him, despite the rough start.

Behrend tennis team wins AMCC championship

The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship, defeating Penn State Altoona, 5-1. The team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.

Behrend baseball team builds 6-game win streak

The Penn State Behrend baseball team has won its last six games, including a 15-2 victory over Hiram on April 15. Ten players had a hit in that game. Three players – Zack Bowen, Chase Palmer and John Berger – had three hits.

Penn State campus climate survey to close on April 22

Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.
