Matthew Totzke, chief executive officer of Larson Texts Inc. and a 1996 graduate of Penn State Behrend, has been named one of 22 Penn State Alumni Fellows for 2021.
Penn State Behrend’s 2021-22 Speaker Series will feature a former U.S. Food and Drug Administration commissioner, the first female National Football League official and others who are shaping our culture. The talks, which are free and open to the public, begin Oct. 18.
Recruiters from nearly 100 companies and graduate programs will meet with students during Penn State Behrend’s Oct. 7 Career and Internship Fair. The program, which is open to all students currently enrolled at Erie County colleges, begins at 11 a.m. in Junker Center.
The Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team is 4-0 when playing on the road this year. The team will close out the 2021 season with three home matches, beginning Oct. 6 against Westminster.
Penn State Laureate Shara McCallum will visit Penn State Behrend to read from her poetry on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The program, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. in Metzgar Center.
Tesha Nesbit, a 1993 graduate of Penn State Behrend, has been named the first recipient of the newly created Behrend Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
A new portrait of Bob and Sally Metzgar, longtime supporters of Penn State Behrend, has been hung in the lobby of Metzgar Center, which houses the college’s admissions, alumni and financial aid offices.
The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team won matches against Oberlin, Fredonia and Pitt-Greensburg last week. The Lions hit a season-high .380 against Pitt-Greensburg, earning their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win of the season.
