The chemistry department houses a number of faculty research and teaching laboratories, giving students hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to work alongside faculty on research projects. The 9,000-square-feet chemistry teaching labs feature five different labs: two labs for introductory courses and one each for organic chemistry, advanced chemistry and instruments. The labs recently underwent a $6.1 million renovation to meet the latest standards in safety, teaching efficiency, research capability, and materials handling.
