Emergency Phone Locations

There are several types of emergency phones on campus:

  • Emergency phones with blue lights
  • Panel/Callbox emergency phones
  • Residence Hall/Courtesy phones

When activated, all emergency telephones are in direct contact with the Erie County 911 Center and should be used to report a criminal incident, fire, illness, suspicious person, or any other type of emergency.

Use of Emergency Phones

To use any emergency phone, push the labeled "EMERGENCY" or "HELP," and you will be connected to an emergency dispatcher.

Phone Identification

There are four different types of emergency phones on campus (as pictured below). They include (from left to right): box phone, yellow box phone, flat panel phone, and the tower phone. All include a button to summon emergency help. The box, yellow box, and flat panel phones are mounted on building walls. The tower phones, with a blue light at the top, are located along walkways.
