Join Us Monday: Unveiling a University Brand Initiative

Penn Staters make an impact everywhere. Now, there’s a brand initiative that puts it right out there.

The University will introduce the initiative on Saturday, October 12, during halftime of the Michigan game in Beaver Stadium. Across the state, including here at Penn State Behrend, we’ll be unveiling the brand message on Monday, October 14, and you’re invited to be part of the announcement.

Fall Career Fair Draws Record Number of Recruiters

All that “My name is…” business at Wednesday’s Career and Internship Fair felt a bit like speed-dating: Every conversation was shortened by the fact that someone else was waiting.

This year’s fair was the largest ever: More than 1,000 students attended. They lined up for 160 different companies, including Microsoft, Target, Coca-Cola and ExxonMobil.

Seven former Lions inducted into Hall of Fame

Penn State Behrend inducted seven individuals into the College’s Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday. Three championship winning teams were inducted, too: the 1993-94 women’s basketball team, 1978 men’s soccer team, and the 2003 men’s soccer team.

Five students will represent Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, at the 2014 Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Research Challenge. They will produce a detailed financial report and valuation of PPG Industries, a top global supplier of paints, coatings, optical products and glass, and will present their findings to a panel of high-profile financial analysts selected from the membership of the CFA Society of Pittsburgh.
