More than 750 students attended the Spring Career and Internship Fair, held Thursday, March 15, at Penn State Behrend. A record 176 companies were represented at this spring's fair.
On Thursday, March 29, Melissa Fraterrigo will read excerpts from her new novel “Glory Days” as part of Penn State Behrend's Creative Writers Reading Series. Her 6 p.m. reading and the reception preceding it are free and open to the public.
Omar Johnson will discuss the changing marketing and advertising fields on Thursday, March 22, when he visits Penn State Behrend as part of its Speaker Series. His presentation, “Experience is the New Marketing,” begins at 7:30 p.m. in McGarvey Commons, in the college’s Reed Union Building. The program is free and open to the public.
Larry V. Smith, a steadfast friend and supporter of Penn State Behrend, died March 9 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie. He and his wife, Kathryn, funded construction of the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel at Penn State Behrend. They also funded scholarships and donated property to the college.
