Five Penn State research teams earn Manufacturing PA Innovation Grants

Penn State has been awarded five grants through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Manufacturing PA initiative. The initiative awarded $2 million across 29 grants in total and will bring together government, industry and higher education in holistic collaboration to spur new technologies and processes in the manufacturing sector.

Two new faculty members and two new labs at Penn State Behrend will support the college's $26 million partnership with the Magee-Womens Research Institute of Erie — a women’s health initiative that will bring locally focused clinical medical trials to the region.

Behrend cross country team wins AMCC championship

The Penn State Behrend men’s cross country team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship, with Behrend runners in five of the top 10 spots. Phoenix Myers, a junior from Erie, placed second, finishing in 18:36.68.
