Each fall semester, students from Erie, Crawford, and Allegheny County in grades 9–12 participate in mock business courses during Behrend Business Day at Penn State Behrend.
Behrend Business Day is designed to help students gain an understanding of business basics by having them participate in a variety of activities. Mock business courses, for example, give teens an idea of what to expect when taking classes in a business major, such as accounting, finance, and management information systems. These experiences may help them determine whether they would like to pursue these fields after high school.
Participants are selected to attend the event by their high school and will spend a day networking with Behrend faculty members while learning about the various academic programs offered by the Black School of Business.
The event includes lunch and a tour of campus.
