Morning Sessions (9:00 a.m.–noon)

Paper Pop Ups! New course

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon

Ages: 6–8
Cost: $135

This pop-up making class introduces kids to the magic of paper engineering! Through guided steps, students will learn how to fold, cut, and assemble pop-ups while expressing their creativity. Multiple pop-up techniques will be covered throughout our week together. From pop-up cards to multi-page books and paper sculptures students will use their imaginations to make original art with paper. Perfect for curious minds who love art, crafts, and storytelling.

*Due to an increase in the cost of art supplies and materials for this course, a $10 fee has been added to the class to cover the cost of items the students will use during the program.

Screen-Free Fun!

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon

Say goodbye to screens and hello to nonstop fun! This action-packed, week-long camp is designed to get kids moving, thinking, and laughing through exciting hands-on games. Each day brings a brand-new theme, keeping curiosity and creativity at an all-time high!

  • Monday: Get artsy with colorful, creative challenges!
  • Tuesday: Dive into thrilling science experiments and discovery games!
  • Wednesday: Math becomes an adventure with number-packed games!
  • Thursday: Wordplay and storytelling make English day unforgettable!
  • Friday: End the week on a high note with musical games and rhythm fun!

With at least three engaging games daily, your child will build problem-solving skills, teamwork, and coordination—all while having an absolute blast. If you're looking for the perfect mix of learning and playing, this is the camp to join!

STEM and Stacks (LEGO-Themed Course)

Calling all LEGO fanatics! Are you up for a challenge? Let’s spend a week putting our minds to the test and designing some engineering feats while having fun and socializing. This class is all about LEGOs and learning how to construct amazing architectural designs that can withstand several engineering challenges and capabilities. Learn how to construct several types of structures and how they withstand things like nature, man, and more! Join in on the excitement! Get ready to play with LEGOs all week long!!!

STEAM-y Spa

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon

Are you ready to relax and unwind after a long, stressful school year? Welcome to Behrend Day Spa! This class will allow young students to create a variety of bath and body products while practicing mathematical skills and scientific methods. We will be learning STEAM skills, but in a fun, BEAUTIFUL, exciting environment. Channel your inner peace and come to relax! Spend a week living the life of luxury and creating memories with friends who share similar interests!

*Due to an increase in the cost of groceries and materials for the course, a $10 fee has been added to class to cover the cost of food and other items the students will use during the week.

Cookie Crush!

Dates: June 22–26

Do you like cookies? Are you an aspiring baker? Then this is the course for you! Spend a week this summer inside a kitchen learning how to read recipes and bake several types of cookies! In this class we will learn how to read recipes, measure, prepare items, and safely bake inside a fun and exciting classroom! Come hungry! Leave a baker! Who’s ready to spend this summer whipping up some awesome recipes!?? Please be aware of food allergens.

Story Time Adventures!

Get ready to bring stories to life in a whole new way! In this class, we’ll dive into exciting stories and then turn them into hands-on adventures through STEM activities, art projects, and fun games. From building structures like the ones in the story to creating your own artwork inspired by the characters, every day will be a new chance to explore creativity and science. Whether we’re constructing a bridge, designing an animal habitat, or playing a game that relates to the plot, you’ll be using your imagination and problem-solving skills to make the story come alive! This class is perfect for book lovers who want to turn their favorite tales into thrilling, interactive experiences!

Curious about paint pours? Well placed lines and colors? Animals and people painted in blues, purples, and greens? Try out this abstract painting course! Take your paintings to a new level and create something that is out of this world! In this class, anything is possible, and the sky is the limit!

Singin’ & Stringin’

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Susan Forsythe

Ever dreamed of strumming an instrument and singing your heart out—at the same time? Welcome to Singin’ & Stringin! In this class, you’ll learn to play the ukulele, sing with confidence, and discover just how fun and easy making music can be. With just three simple chords, you’ll unlock the power to play hundreds of songs—starting with a few favorites that you’ll quickly master. The ukulele is small, portable, and always ready for a jam session. Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, your uke and your voice will bring smiles wherever you go. Along the way, you’ll sharpen skills like rhythm, pitch, memorization, and multitasking as you learn to sing and play together. Dive into music games that reinforce your new skills, explore the rich history of the ukulele, and enjoy curated listening experiences that spark inspiration. Make music, make friends, and make this summer one to remember!

The Author’s Stitch

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon

Welcome to Author's Stitch! A classroom where students will write, create, and design their own book! During this course, students will learn about writing and illustrating a story of their own. Each day, students will hear short stories, learn about the processes it takes to develop a story, and then add to their very own story book! Come along for the ride and learn how to concoct a story of your own! We welcome students who can read and write to join this course and develop a magical tale of their own!

Beginner Model Rocketry

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Sarah Proper
Ages: 10–14
Cost: $175

Using many aspects of STEM, participants in Beginning Model Rocketry will build and launch their own reusable rocket. Throughout the course, they will construct a launch pad with an electrical ignition system. Then, students will assemble and paint a rocket to be launched on the final day of class. Once the students spend a week designing a rocket with a launch pad and ignition system, they will launch their rockets on the last day of class! After the launch, the entire kits will be sent home with detailed instructions for continued use!

This course has limited availability and is expected to sell out. Please plan accordingly.

*Due to the cost of the reusable model rocket kits, as well as the materials needed to construct a reusable rocket students can take home, a $50 fee has been added to the class to cover the cost of items used to create their personal kits. These kits are reusable and will be sent home with detailed instructions for use beyond the course.

Story-Based Games

Do you love video games? Have you ever dreamed of designing your own interactive story? In this exciting class, you'll combine game creation with creative writing to build your very own playable adventure! Using Twine, an HTML-based game engine, you'll craft choose-your-own-adventure stories filled with twists, turns, and player-driven choices. Along the way, you'll pick up essential coding skills in HTML, CSS, and a touch of JavaScript, while also exploring key programming concepts like variables and macros. Plus, we'll dive into what makes a story truly engaging in the world of gaming. Get ready to bring your imagination to life—one choice at a time!

All About Science Experiments!

Welcome to a world full of wacky, fun science experiments! In this course, children will get a simplified introduction to scientific processes. Together, we will explore each step of the scientific method. Every day, students conduct a new experiment, and they can bring their findings home to share with family and friends. This class is designed to spark a love for science in children, while allowing them to have fun and learn how to observe, hypothesize, experiment, and analyze!

Calling all slime fanatics! This course is for you! Welcome to a land filled with ooey, gooey SLIME! In this class we will investigate the science behind slime and make our own concoctions using different recipes and ingredients! In this course we will expand our scientific knowledge, learn terminology, explore the concepts of thermochromics, and more! Once constructed, we will evaluate our products to see who created the greatest slime concoction and share our creations and recipes with friends and families. If you like science, and you like slime, we welcome you to sign up for this class!

Color Me Happy!

During this class, students will learn the basics of creating great watercolor masterpieces while understanding the mixed media arts! First, students will spend a day or two learning how to use watercolors and applying their new skills to create watercolor themed backgrounds. Next the students will be introduced to the art form of mixed media and apply colored penciled drawings and sketches to their water-colored papers. Get ready to paint and create animals, people, landscapes, and more in this exciting hands-on art class!

Music on Reed Lawn!

Get ready to jump, clap, and dance your way into the world of music! In Music on Reed Lawn, we’ll take music learning outdoors, using games and movement to explore rhythm, melody, and other musical concepts in a fun and active way. From drumming on natural objects to creating musical patterns with our bodies, students will discover their hidden musical talents while enjoying the fresh air. This class is perfect for kids who love to move, play, and express themselves through sound—because music is everywhere, and learning it should be an adventure!

Come explore the fascinating world of robotics, where robots are found everywhere—from toys and industrial machines to those used in space exploration. Discover how the science behind these incredible creations impacts your everyday life. Through hands-on experimentation and design, you will build robots using the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Set, Jitter Bot, MiP, Edison, and more to tackle exciting projects!

Beginner Model Rocketry

Dates: June 22–26
Time: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
