Update Your Wireless Setup by October 11

There have been issues where individuals have not been able to connect successfully to Penn State wireless. This issue has been addressed and requires that students, faculty, and staff (at all campus locations) update their wireless setup. This needs to be done on all of your devices—laptops, tablets, smartphones or other wireless-enabled devices—prior to October 11.  

Individuals who use Android devices do not need to update their wireless setup.

“We knew it would be different," said Mariah Knott, one of eight Penn State Behrend students who traveled to Havana this year. “They have free housing, free health care and free education, but they often don’t have access to the most basic things, including transportation. I had no idea that people lived like that.”

Alumna Wins Gold Medal at Paralympic Games in Rio

Penn State Behrend graduate Shawn Morelli, a soccer player who turned to cycling after being injured by a bomb blast in Afghanistan, won the first U.S. gold medal at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 8. She finished first in the 3,000-meter C4 individual pursuit, a track race.

Morelli, 40, finished in 3:59.407, more than four seconds ahead of her closest competitor.
