Behrend astronomy program to focus on Mars and Venus

The key differences between Mars and Venus will be part of Darren Williams’ topic of discussion on April 19, when Open House Night in Astronomy returns to Penn State Behrend. Williams, a professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the college, will explain what is known about each world and what remains uncertain.

Penn State Behrend to offer Lean and Six Sigma Series courses

Penn State Behrend will offer its Lean and Six Sigma Series, a sequence of process improvement and quality management classes, beginning this summer. The courses, which will be offered through the college’s Office of Community and Workforce Programs, will be held in the Jack Burke Research and Economic Development Center. Registrations are now being accepted.

Holocaust survivor to speak at Penn State Behrend on Remembrance Day

Holocaust survivor Erwin Froman will discuss his experience later this week when he visits Penn State Behrend on Remembrance Day, Thursday, April 12, for a special lecture. His talk begins at 11 a.m. and will be held in room 180 of the college’s Jack Burke Research and Economic Development Center.
